Bill cares about our schools, our students, and our teachers. He is one of the most civic-minded people I have had the privilege to know. Bill's continued service on the School Committee is vital as the APS engages in the process of finding a new leader for the district and grapples with issues ranging from the rebuild of Arlington High School to the fiscal pressures and logistical challenges that the pandemic and recession have presented.

I had the privilege of working with Bill on the
Stratton School PTO board, where I witnessed Bill's deep understanding of teaching, his commitment to our teachers and students, and his ability to work collaboratively. Bill came to every PTO meeting, knew our school, and knew us the parents working to make our schools better. Bill knows our students; he shows up. He is a key part of milestones and events. He is available, knowledgeable, and visible. I am very glad to vote for Bill.
- Lenard Diggins
As a fellow Town Meeting Member, i have great respect for Bill. He's very knowledgeable, and he cares about all of the town in addition to the school system. He has served the School Committee well, and he will continue to do so. We can use his experience in what is bound to be an extremely challenging year!
- Edward S. White
I have known Bill for a few years now. I have found him to be both knowledgeable and thoughtful, carefully considering a response based on information and facts instead of a knee jerk reaction or emotional response. We usually agree on issues, but on those times that we have not, his opinion was carefully considered and informed. Bill has integrity, a quality too often missing in politics and politicians, and I unequivocally and wholeheartedly recommend him.
- Timur Kaya Yonta
Bill was an early supporter of the Arlington School Enrollment Parent Group, which led the advocacy for the Thompson addition, Gibbs renovation, and Hardy addition in the face of overcrowding.
Bill is an independent-minded member of the School Committee. While the Committee generally operates by consensus, there needs to be room for dissent. Bill is not an obstructionist -- but he is willing to be a critical voice and vote.
I have also been impressed by Bill's public service contributions to the Permanent Town Building Committee (as School Committee rep), to Town Meeting, and teaching our Town's 3rd graders about Mock Town Meeting.
- Vincent Rudolph
I am supporting Bill because he has been very important in our community and has plenty of experience.

He is a dedicated individual whose actions prove his beliefs and values. The fact that he chose to teach at the primary level in a public school for his entire career as an educator speaks to exactly that point. He works tirelessly as a volunteer. Reading to little ones at Robbins Library, building homes for Habitat for Humanity, helping bereaved children deal with the death of a loved one at The Children's Room, and serving as an elected Town Meeting Member are some of the other ways he demonstrates integrity to his principles.
